Trust can take years to build- however, in the architectural world, we do not have the luxury of this time and that is why we must choose our architects carefully and be certain that we have made the right decision. When it comes to p|d|c architectural consultants and their transparent work methods, dedicated ethics and commitment to quality and value- trust can be safely assured as their clients’ best interests are their main focus.
Established in 2012 and with over 15 years’ experience, the small team of experts at PDC have devoted their time to building long-lasting relationships with their clients and a long list of successfully completed briefs. Operating on the basis that no job is too small to call for help with- the firm offer a complete service from start to finish; from pre-planning consultation, planning applications to ensuring compliance with planning conditions, building regulations and fire safety.
Based in Meath, PDC operate throughout Dublin and adjacent counties, whilst also having carried out projects in Louth, Wicklow, Kildare and Wexford. With the ability and foresight to wrap up a project on time and within budget, the firm guarantees that all their projects- from large and small scale developments for the domestic and commercial markets, to new builds, extensions, conversions and change of use applications- boast their seal of excellence and provide their clients with an energy efficient and a dynamically designed new way of life.
“I was always building things and drawing pictures with rulers as a child,” Company Founder, Keith Matthews described. “Choosing a career in architecture was a natural progression for me and one that I have enjoyed for over a decade. The clients are one of the main reasons for this too- as they put their trust in us. When we hand over a project and get to see their satisfied faces, that’s what makes the hard-work worthwhile.”
And when you look at their broad portfolio, it is easy to see the effort and craftsmanship that each project is built with. An Pairc Wotton, The Ward, Co, Meath, is the perfect example of p|d|c architectural consultants’ standard of work as the 10 houses on the rural development utilise both the natural attributions and orientation of the site, whilst settling into the space and creating a comfortable sense of home. The project also emphasises PDC’s interchangeable nature and the extent of their experience- as whether it’s the city or the country, they are equipped to bring a site to its full potential.
“We want to look into the future and consider the carbon foot print, value and energy efficiency of each of our projects,” Keith explained. “Everything we have goes into the briefs that we are working on and hopefully that can be seen through the finished products. The relationships that we build with our clients and our sub-contractors are testimony to the work that we do and to the commitment that we put in.”
Currently working on a number of projects and developing several prospective briefs- PDC aim to continue to offer their client centred approach- which brings their clients requirements and wishes to forefront of their work- whilst also developing their own skillset and endeavouring to deliver the highest quality of architecture. As at the end of the day, that’s what their clients trust them to do.
